Are you an “us?” Or are you a “them?”

It is our contention that you are neither. But to steal a phrase used by filmmaker, writer, and social activist, Michael Moore, “hate radio” (and hate TV, and hate print) have forced many of us to decide between those two very narrow categories. American politicians do it too, and all the time. And it’s been happening for so long that we fall into categories without really thinking about why.

We become an “us” or a “them” just by rote.

And? Well, your mind has gotten fat and lazy mulling around in those pre-defined boxes. It wants to stretch, get a little air, see what else is out there in this big world.

Our goal here is to find ground that is common to us all. We’ll do that by contributions of the authors and, more importantly, with your contributions. On all types of topics. And knowing that our minds need recess too, we’ll have some fun on the playground. You and your brain will both be fitter that way.

Welcome.
